The Rock’n H

The Rock’n H was born from a long day on the road with my girlfriend Sarah and the beautiful landscape just northeast of Tucumcari. As the sun was setting on an empty two-lane blacktop, mile after mile of unspoiled ranch land passed us by. Eventually, we began the “imagination game” playfully thinking about what we’d do with a ranch like that. Of course, one can’t have a ranch without a proper name and a brand. And thus, the “Rock’n H” was born. Not long after, a life-long friend and designer crafted our brand in preparation for our wedding. The interlocked “S” for Scott & Sarah inside the rocking H…and we’ve been Rock’n ever since.
Rock’n H is not just our marriage, but a creative marriage, bringing Sarah’s visionary taste and aptitude for interior design with decades of experience in sales and marketing. So whether you’re interested in an intimate photograph for a room or hallway or a signature image for a large reception area, Sarah can help you find the right image for your space and personal taste.
Scott's Story
My photographic journey began when I was thirteen. A day trip to the Wichita Mountains in southwest Oklahoma and a brief stop at a nearby junk shop set my imagination in motion. It was there that I spied an old camera that my parents wisely convinced me to leave behind. A few months later I was finally able to purchase a new camera and devoted every free moment to learning the intricacies of that machine, the magic of the darkroom, and the art of seeing.
Many decades have passed since, and I still find myself drawn to wide open spaces, natural beauty, and those uniquely serendipitous moments where I feel compelled to press the shutter button and, ultimately, to share them with you. My quest for this, in spaces both familiar and exotic, has been a driving force throughout my life. I count myself as exceedingly fortunate to have seen the world, but perhaps more importantly, to notice it in both grandeur and subtlety. It is a rich life to be sure.
My hope is that a photograph resonates with you in some special way that is uniquely yours, and that you take joy in living with the image as much as I did in making it.
